Need advice on connecting with Carambola

Hm, it should work in PSK/PSK2 though. You'll have to find out the exact encryption type of your router. The article on setting up WiFi has a command to list all WiFi Networks and the encryption methods they use ("iwlist scan" I think). Maybe even google for more general OpenWRT help on this topic. The OpenWRT tutorial on setting up WiFi is a lot more detailed. I don't think there's an 802.11n cpable chipset out there that doesn't support PSK encryptions.
Maybe it's not even the encryption method itself, maybe it's just a matter of setting the password correctly. Try setting up your router and carambola for PSK2 and use a simple password without special characters for testing.

Thank you for the reply. My issue turned out to be - ME...
Had some ctl-c, ctl-v issue when i updated the network configuration. Did a "Clean" boot, set-up via web i/f, working now.
